Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy

“The unconcsious mind records all 1001 little details the conscious mind neglects.”-John Grinder

The term hypnosis is derived from the Greek word, "hypnos," which means sleep.  From our experience, here are some descriptions of hypnosis:

1.) Focused Consciousness
2.) An Altered State of Consciousness
3.) Extreme Relaxation
4.) Guided Meditation
5.) A Series of Instructions

Hypnosis Facts
1.) Hypnosis was accepted by the American Medical Association as early as 1958
2.) Hypnosis is about as natural as it gets, and is very safe.  Nobody has ever been hurt by hypnosis.
3.) Hypnosis is not mind control
4.) You will not get "stuck" in hypnosis.  That has never, in the history of hypnosis, happened to anybody.
5.) The worst case scenario is that you fall asleep.
6.) Hypnosis is focused concentration while sleep is a state of consciousness.

Benefits of Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a very relaxed, pleasant state, you are in control the whole time and you can hear everything that is going on around you. In fact just the act of being in a deep trance state is good for you! Every 5 minutes in a deep hypnotic state is equivalent to 30 minutes of quality sleep during which the body and mind can make much needed repairs.

Your subconscious mind will always illicit the same response until you give it a new one. Hypnotherapy is all about establishing new neuro-pathways in the brain so you don’t need to think about having a different reaction to a situation you just respond differently, it’s that easy!

About the Practitioner

Myles Hecimovich, BA, MA, M.Ed, Reiki Theapist and Certified Hypnotherapist, is the person to see in Milwaukee for all of your hypnosis needs.

Myles' fascination with hypnosis and altered states of consciousness began when he was very young, and he explored hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis on himself while studying at college in Chicago, IL.  The true untapped power of the human mind fascinates Myles.  When he discovered hypnosis, Myles knew it was the perfect medium to combine his love of helping others, and to further explore his interest in the subconscious.

Along with practicing hypnotherapy, Myles practices Reiki and can combine the two into a treatment plan for his clients.  Myles co-owns Infinity Massage and is a former public school teacher and administrator.

Myles has worked with a wide variety of hypnotherapy clients, but his specialties include: relieving anxiety disorders, phobias, and depression.  Myles also has been very successful with hypnosis for prosperity, motivation, and sales skills.
